Sorry, Hiddlestoners: Tom Hiddleston likely won’t return for “Marvel’s The Avengers 2.”
In a meeting with Empire, chief Joss Whedon talked about the blockbuster continuation and noted that it won’t be the same as its antecedent.
“Every living soul is set to be searching for the Loki-Hulk crush minute and you’ll be searching for [a quim moment],” Whedon said, implying the disputable expression Hiddleston’s Loki says to Scarlett Johansson’s Black Widow in “The Avengers.” “First of all, mimicking what I did before is the surest route to do it not also. Second of all, Loki’s not there to say those shocking things. Despite the fact that I do suppose we may as well carry the statement, not as an affront, its only a fantastic word.”
That explanation from Whedon, obviously, doesn’t fundamentally mean Hiddleston will be lost from “Marvel’s The Avengers 2” –all the same, Marvel has made post-credit successions and shock cameos part of its superhero Dna –simply that he won’t have a major part. Hiddleston fans angry with this disclosure can take comfort in the way that the detestable Loki does show up in “Thor: The Dark World,” which Marvel is situated to discharge on Nov. 8.
